Sitting Pretty

Elliot's newest large-motor accomplishment is to go from his belly to sitting straight up. He does it a lot while he's playing on the floor.  And, most amazing to see, does it each time he wakes up in his crib.  So now, instead of seeing a baby flailing like a turtle stuck up-side-down on its shell, you walk into his room and see a baby... sitting straight up looking at you!  Needless to say, we spent last weekend taking apart his crib and lowering the mattress to the lowest position.  The last thing we want is for him to learn how to go from a sitting position to standing up before we got around to lowering his crib!
